Keep It 100

Have you ever seen someone who is fake? Who doesn’t live up to what they say? Who lacks integrity? Whose motives are impure?

Someone who colours the truth to make themselves look better? Who is honest only when it’s convenient? Who slides on what they believe to fit with what other people think? Who settles for way less than the best they can be?

I’ve seen lots of people like that. I see them on TV, I see them driving in their cars, walking on the street, shopping in the grocery store. But sometimes I see one in the mirror too. If we’re honest, we can all be like that sometimes.

It’s time for a change. It’s time to be real, authentic, to live by integrity, to keep motives pure. It’s time to tell the truth, to be honest with ourselves and others, to believe what is real and true no matter what anyone else thinks. It’s time to be the best we can be. It’s time to Keep It 100.

OTHER SERMON SERIES

  • Like Jesus

The main difference between those who actually do it and those who don’t is whether they are ALL IN.

I have found that at certain times or in certain places, I tend to act a certain way and come across as a certain type of person.

  • We Love Dads

Sometimes we have pretty high expectations of our dads. Sometimes they don’t live up to them. Other times they may exceed them.

  • Grace or Disgrace

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but it feels like many in our culture are becoming more polarized, especially with the health crisis and other issues we’ve been experiencing. We all have different opinions, and it tends to divide us. Hey, if your opinion is different than mine, then you must be wrong!

  • Advent Promises

Today more than ever we need to know that promises will not just be made, but that they will be kept.

  • Why Worry

It’s a well-known fact, supported by science, and experienced by many, that worry can have negative affects on us: emotional issues like anxiety and hopelessness, relational issues like stress and strain, and physical issues ranging from heartburn to heart failure.
